USA SOFTBALL Umpire Training

USA SOFTBALL OF MASSACHUSETTS UMPIRE TRAINING

Are you Interested in Becoming an USA Softball Umpire?

USA Softball of Massachusetts is pleased to continue our 'Virtual Umpire Training' course in the 2024 softball season. This course is the first step in learning the fundamentals that will help you be successful in achieving your umpire goals.

  • We make the process of becoming a USA Softball umpire as simple as possible.
  • We provide training that is specific to ready umpires for their first game!
  • We guide umpires through the registration process and in completing Safe Sport training.
  • We pair umpires with USA Softball assignors who assign umpires games.

We are also expanding our efforts with a 'Train the Trainer' course using the same curriculum. Additional training staff will provide all umpires with consistent skill training throughout the entire softball season.

Please contact State Deputy Umpire-in-Chief, Sherman Rawding (sherman.rawding@gmail.com) or State Umpire in Chief, Dianne Weissbach (dweissbach61@gmail.com), with any questions regarding USA Softball of Massachusetts Umpire training.
